 Jordan/Jackson Welcomes Jennifer Hartman

Dear Jordan/Jackson Students and Families,

It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that I introduce myself as the new assistant principal of the Jordan/Jackson Elementary School.  I am truly honored to accept this new role and look forward to working with all of you.  Working together with Mr. Nieratko and Mrs. McCracken, as well as the rest of our Jordan/Jackson teachers and staff,  I am confident that this school year will provide our students with an engaging and successful school experience!  I truly believe that all students can learn and grow,  and I am excited to be part of the Jordan/Jackson learning community.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for twenty years. During this time, my experiences have included teaching and leading in the Boston Public Schools at the Mary Lyon School.  I’ve spent 8 years in the classroom before moving into instructional coaching, followed by leadership.  My experience in a model, inclusive school has given me the opportunity to develop respectful, responsible relationships with all members of our learning community.  Students, parents and families are always the heart of a school and I can’t wait to meet you!

As a learning community, it is the responsibility of administrators, teachers, and families to promote the academic success of all our students. Grades 3, 4,and 5 are important years for students. What happens during these years will have a lasting impression on their growth and development. I am eager and excited to begin working with all of you as we prepare to begin the new school year.  My goal as the new Assistant Principal is to provide leadership that will facilitate a learning environment that challenges students to learn and grow academically and socially. As we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous and engaging, it is important to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun and nurturing environment.

Please feel free to stop in and say hello, my door is always open. If there is anything I can assist you with, please let me know.  I look forward to a fabulous school year as I get to know all of the students, parents, and families of the Mansfield Public Schools.

Enjoy the rest of the summer!
